Glyn Valley Hotel

Room lovely, very modern clean with an excellent shower. However!! Breakfast reasonable for continental but not really good enough for a 130 a night! Staff and management really are the issue. Booked 10 rooms as my daughter got married nearby. Very poor communication. Often did not reply to emails and phone calls. Not one member of staff congratulated the bride and groom...in the morning simply asked to settle account..very poor and such a shame. Two guests emailed to request in good time gluten free breakfast option. No replies. No gluten free available. My daughter (not the bride) ate nothing! Very disappointing. Think some body needs to take charge who cares. This is a service industry.

The hotel itself is lovely, and set it a beautiful location. The management let's it down however. I was part of a large amount of people that book here for a wedding nearby, as we booked ages in advance and told them some of the guests have dietary requirements we were told we would be catered for. Nothing gluten free / dairy free / vegan was provided ( besides the ham / fruit that was part of the breakfast already) so myself and others just couldn't have breakfast that we'd already paid for. There is also an issue with the management losing card details that we have her weeks in advance so that certain people were told they hadn't paid when they had previously been told the payment would be taken out days before the booking. The card machine wasn't working as there was no WiFi so my cousin had to go into town to get cash out to pay, again after being told that with the card details provided payment would be taken beforehand.

Nearby activities: Peaceful hills, stunning scenery and lots of walks and rides nearby. Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall (half an hour away) is spectacular Food & drinks: Good quality pub fare at very reasonable prices
