Really interesting & informative (tilly age 8),Really good, learnt new stuff (hamish, age 12). Brilliant visit, really enjoyed gardens & keen to try out hot beds (jo age 47). Loved the mole hole (Sam age 50). Thanks for the poo bags! (pob dog).

Since my first visit, over 20 years ago, the place has become frozen in time and all eggs placed in the "look at us" conference centre egg basket! Unkempt and outdated. Caf serves wannabe healthy food well below par! Get a grip!!!!

Lovely location and great potential........however, on the day I visited they were having what appeared to be a "Mutiny on the bounty" style staff crisis. After paying the admission fee, (which on reflection should have been reduced to match the limited experience) my friend and I walked around aimlessly only able to look. No demonstrations were running and no one was available for information regarding any of the displays. Some areas were taped off for what looked like no apparent reason and some exhibits had been dismantled or were broken and not working. All in all a really disappointing experience and not worth the entrance fee. We did see lots of student aged staff in a private area sitting around just chatting amongst themselves for the best part of the day but they didn't want to engage with the visitors who were paying their wages. These people really need to up their game and decide whether they want visitors or not as I'm afraid to say that if you're charging an entrance fee then a service is expected. Not an experience I'd choose to repeat.....as the saying goes "Shape up or ship out"
