To declare my interest - I'm a long term monthly out-patient of the intravitreal treatment clinic. A patient from Tumble once complained to me that Glanaman was too far and too difficult to drive to... I think most of the patients (some travel from as far and further than Fishguard) are grateful for this vital service. The staff are efficient, friendly and helpful. The nurses are fantastic - the treatment isn't always a pleasant proposition but the nurses who are now trained to administer the intravitreal injections, make the whole experience so much easier with their friendly compassion. I would be willing to travel from a lot further than Tumble for the care I receive here.

The staff go above and beyond not just in their efforts to keep all ambulance transport staff, patients (plus carer if they have one with them), visitors, their own hospital staff and the hospital itself as hygienic and covid free as possible, they accommodate patients with other disabilities/health conditions than vision problems. Even with the most stressed, anxious patient, the staff will go out of their way to make the appointment as stress free as possible. Amazing staff who show genuine care and empathy for patients. Wheelchair accessible/disability parking. Specialists in vision loss/difficulties. / Welsh/English speakers Coffee machine ion entrance area.
