Ever had a special occasion coming up for the special person in your life. Have a logo, a toy or a design in mind ,what if you could put that together in one place? Merrie Cakes is the one stop answer to your wishes. Merrie made the most fantastic piece of art for my partner Kevin,aka DJ Sharkfoot to celebrate his 60th birthday. We gave some photos and logo designs for a cake for 40 people. The result was amazing just like you see on those American cake sculpture shows. Whilst the outside was amazing and really looked like a shark with a goot in its mouth and teue to the design ,it was a real piece of fabulous art and a shame to cut-the inside transported us to a heavenly plain. The cake was gluten free, it held together well and tasted out of this world,it is without doubt the best gluten free cake I have tasted in my 37 years of being gluten free. To top this there was ganache chocolate between the cake and the icing,that in itself was amazing. So our marks 10 out of 10 for taking a design and turning it in to a true work of art. 10 out of 10 for taste, 10 out of 10 for consistency of the cake it sliced to perfection and looked perfect you would not have known it was gluten free . 10 out of ten for price. 10 out of ten for thoughtful packaging regarding transportung the cake the 30 miles it needed to go. 10 out of 10 for being covid safe- Merrie gave clear instructions and protocols for delivery that enabled us to feel that the risk of covid in the collection process we eliminated as much as humanely possible. Merrie is an amazing cake maker. Talented, and in high demand! She has a great instinct for what you want and makes the most delicious beautiful cakes. You can tell she only uses the best ingredients. Would highly recommend.
