Ynys Faig Camping and Caravan Site

Location was great for Mawddach trail and Fairbourne, but facilities were in dire need of attention. One working lightbulb in whole of ladies shower, loos, wash up. Washing up in the dark. Shower curtains mouldy, showers dirty. Water hot at least. Cold taps on sinks gave you a free shower. All facilities need a good clean/repair. Prices charged are excessive for what the facilities are like.

Good campsite, with quick access to steam train, regular train, shops, takeout and beach. The site has all the basics, level hard standing pitches ideal for large camper vans like mine, a proper 16A electrical feed (many now are reducing to a 6A feed which won't be enough for a household kettle). Only downside was the rundown state of the showers / toilet, everything worked though. They are in the process of renovating after a recent change of ownership. A good campsite that will be great after the refurb.
