        Food pretty basic. Wouldnt go out of my way to eat here again. At time of going, rating was 4.7 but that doesnt reflect the venue or food, based on our travels.

        Had the roast beef ...lovely and tasty and really friendly staff. It's advisable to book in advance especially on Sundays. Keep the standards up for future as your name is as good as the chef's produce when you change hands ... Wish you good success.

        Booked for Sunday Lunch prior to visit to NT Bodnant Gardens. A Traditional Pub .Staff very Friendly and took time to chat.We were seated near a real log fire.Our table was reserved with my name on the Slate sign.(a nice touch)If this Pub was "Modernised" I think it would ruin its character. The meal and Pudding were excellent. It was my Sisters Birthday and when Pudding was served (with a candle and HB in Chocolate Sauce) the Staff and indeed other customers joined in singing Happy Birthday to her.A really nice jesture. Would highly recommend a visit and we will certainly be back .
