My family have been coming to Sunnysands for many years and since Lyons have took over Its shockingly bad! we came here for Easter and the whole time the swimming pool was closed, most of the arcade games were not working or off, it might as well not be open. The entertainment was so bad, and low budget that the club had no atmosphere all night, all they are worried about is checking for wristbands! Why should we even pay for the wristbands when a lot of the facilities werent good enough or not open. The caravans are not finished with very minimal storage, I want a refund! Bring back the old Sunnysands.

Barmouth is such a lovely place and the beautiful Cardigan Bay has the best sunsets ever! Lovely clean beach and if your lucky you may see the Dolphins.Lyons/Sunnysands is a great place to stay, with enough to do or just to rest and relax and soak up the view. The 'vans are nearly new, well equipped, clean and comfy. Hope from home.Oh and the fish and chips are yummy!

UPDATED REVIEW.... We as a family have been visiting sunnysand for well over 40 years. There's always a large group of us, this year we had 10 caravans. It was a total disaster! The problems started about aweek before our stay, with caravans been swaped around and downgraded. Then the day before we was to go we all had a phonecall saying the swimming pool won't be available until the Tuesday, our stay was front Thursday to Thursday. Most of our party have children and on of the main activities in the morning for them is swimming so very disappointing. Then when Monday came we was informed the pool wouldn't be open at all but we was welcome to use the pool on the other site which was a drive away and had to be booked. On arrival many of the party had problems with there caravans and the office staff was in no rush to rectify them. Metal gridding outside the caravan which was dangerous for the children , huge mud patches, Lack of storage, unfinished caravans and a fly infestation to mention just a few of the problems we had. Moving on to the entertainment. The Arcade was shocking. Half the machines was turned off and half the ones that are on don't work properly. The club is the most shocking part. The Entertainment is very poor. The Entertaines have as much personality as a plastic bag and at times very unfriendly. Singers singing the same songs very badly night after night, it was actually painful and many people including myself would leave. The club says its open till "late" so we was shocked on the Friday night when last orders was called at 11.15 and then was told by security to drink up and make a move. Overall we are so disappointed with our stay now lyons have taken over and it saddens me to say we will not be returning anytime soon. It is such a shame to see such a wonderful place be turned into what I can only describe as a very poor pontins at a premium price.

Such a shame,I have been coming to Sunnysands longer than I can remember firstly with my parents even my grandparents I now come with my own children and grandchildren and extended family twice a year most of the time, what a shock we had on our most recent stay it has gone rapidly down hill, firstly the office staff are nice but I dont think they communicate with each other as we were told something different every time anyone made an enquiry.messed around changing several caravans before we even got there then the day before we arrived told there was no pool, arcade was rubbish the bingo which I love was at tea time so we had to either eat early or go back straight after which really didnt matter as the entertainment was shocking,I was on the seafront and getting the car in and out was a problem as all the vans are so close together.I cant see us returning any time soon which really upsets me as it was more of a family tradition than anything.Lyons you really need to sort this out so over priced and ill managed.I gave a 5 star review on previous visits I dont think I can give 1 star now.
