In September 2017, while letting a group of Gentleman bikers through, we had a minor 'reversing malfunction' on a B road near Lake Vernwy, which resulted in our MX5 slipping gently into the ditch and being stranded. It's funny now, but wasn't at the time... PCSO Sandie Williams from Dolgellau was brilliant, a wonderful ambassador for the local police force, and went to all kinds of lengths to help us out. Thank you Sandie and also to the other people who helped in various ways, ranging from those who called the RAC and Police for us (no phone signal where we were), including the bikers and staff at RSPB in Vernwy, and Ross the handyman-electrician from Vernwy who, with help from PCSO Williams and his Daihatsu FourTrak, eventually got us out of the ditch with no damage to anything but our pride! Thank you all and apologies to anyone who had to go round because the road was blocked that afternoon!
