If you want to learn or build your confidence with map reading, getting you bearings, compass reading, and preparing for a day in the mountains, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend No-Mad Adventures' Hill Walking course. We had an absolutely superb experience. In addition to navigation, Ash has a wealth of local and natural knowledge, which enriched the course, and Annie was lots of practical tips and experience. It was a pleasure to spend the weekend learning from them both, and I left feeling eager and empowered to practise my new life skills.

Just completed a 2 day Hill Skills course with Ash, it was brilliant. Ash is super knowledgeable and a very patient teacher. We had 2 days of walking in beautiful surroundings and he actually taught me to read a map, something, I thought I'd never master!! Highly recommended, many thanks

I attended a 16 hour first aid course which was really hands-on, informative, interesting and comprehensive. The group had plenty of opportunity to practice together in a relaxed environment while learning important skills.

I did the 16h remote first aid course and it was GREAT. Clear, thoughtful, well-structured, and pretty intense. I learned a lot. Really good use of practical and example scenarios to reinforce things. I was largely clueless at the start (had done some online office first aid things, but nothing more). Now I have the knowledge and confidence to know I could help a bit in a massive range of situations.
