Playground: Nice playground to keep the kids happy

This is a review of the public car park... Excellent... However use extreme caution to ensure compliance. Regularly patrolled by wardens who will happily issue fines for infringement. The gentleman towing a trailer for example purchased a single ticket but needed two tickets for the extra bay his trailer occupied. There is nothing about this requirement on the parking information sign but perhaps occupying two spaces may have suggested a two ticket solution. This requirement is also likely to apply to Motorhomes or long vehicles that overhang a second space. Public toilets available nearby. Another sympathetic gentleman who was witness to events related a torrid tale of similar injustice in the town 40 years previous. The solution back then was for him to get out his gun apparently and threaten the offending official. He did not state whether this was effective but continued with some extremely negative comments about the town council and local government officials. (One assume's this to be the nature of local politics). Equally some motorhome owners having been advised of current warden activity decided to skip town before incurring the wardens displeasure. Especially as the gentleman who was given the ticket was asking the warden if he was going to give them a ticket. On the whole it has not been my experience that this is a common occurrence but it did cross my mind what regulations or exemptions were in force and whether anyone had ever tried to give a ticket to the NHS articulated trailer parked in the car park. Who knows what else goes on here. Sit in your car awhile and watch it all unfold. Very busy here in peak season. Highly recommended. On the issue of parking I overheard that ASDA delivery vehicles and therefore others too were having problems delivering to Love Lane due to badly parked vehicles. This is a common occurrence in Dolgellau as can often be observed. Double yellows outside the bakers are just a mere inconvenience. Perhaps that's what makes Dolgellau such an interesting place. A gem of activities.
