Decent service, usually you can book a boat straight away. Busy times, worth booking in advance. A good place to come, if you just a little fun and learn how to ride a kayak.

Friendly and punctual staff, good selection of watersports available for tutoring and hire. Great location. Thanks to the man in the motorboat who checked in on us and gave us some sailing tips!

Fantastic watersports centre. My daughter could sail but was a bit rusty and they gave us the support /refresher tips she needed to take a party of 4 out on the water on a cat 16. Safety boat back-up was reassuring. Good after service as they found some lost property for us and kept safe until we could get back there. Thank you. We will visit again.

I recommend Celtic Watersports very highly to anyone interested in Sailing. My two kids completed the RYA level I this Saturday, having never sailed before. They were taught by Yohan and Reece and I do not think that I can fault anything. Celtic Watersports is a fantastic addition to local watersports, to Dale and to Pembrokeshire. We will definitely be coming back again and again. The sailing school sits a few metres behind the public slipway into the natural south-facing bay of Dale, on the North Shore of Milford Haven. Consequently, it is mostly sheltered from the prevailing winds, providing a steady, but not excessive supply of wind!. It also suffers very little surf for the same reasons. There is a good cafe next door serving hot, cold and alcoholic drinks as well as food and you can sit watching the sailing from outside. A few metres in the opposite direction is the Griffin pub which does quite posh meals as well as good local beer. Again you could sit or stand outside watching the sailing. The setting is brilliant. My kids were in a RS Cat 14, then RS Terras. I sailed a Cat 14, 16 and RS fusion. All were well maintained, with good new sails. The boats are all rigged for you and they supervise/perform launch and recovery. A safety boat was out keeping a close eye on everything, both those under instruction and those on hired boats. Max the safety boat driver was super in terms of helping the less able to and from the slip. My kids are 13 and 11 and I was absolutely comfortable in trusting their safety to the team. Safety boats were clearly well maintained, rated RIBs. Everyone (office, riggers, slipway launchers and safety boat) were on regular VHF comms. It was clear that everybody knew what was going on at all times. Everything was well organised and bookings were simple. The prices seemed totally fair and appropriate for the service, equipment and safety received. There are changing areas with showers and toilets and they provide buoyancy aids. I would advise bringing your own wetsuit, see shoes, gloves and water, but I think they can also provide this additionally. Andy, Reece and Max I think were the seniors and everything ran very well. From my interactions with Max on the safety boat it was very clear that he was an expert in his area. It was clear from my kids response to Reece that he was experienced and expert. What a fantastic addition to the community. It is clear that they employ and involve a significant number of local young people and teenagers who are involved with sailing. It really felt like a hub for a community focused on water. Thank you for a wonderful time. We will certainly be back soon. Matt and Su (Notlon)
