A week in the Big Yurt with the two of us plus a 14, 12, and 7 year old could have felt too cramped, but the set up here is perfect! Very accommodating and warm yurt, electricity and running water feel like luxury compared with others we've stayed at, whilst the ease of access to our own external kitchen, toilet, shower, and a lovely outdoor seating area (covered and open) meant that there was always space to escape each other. Very relaxing views out to the hills whilst sat with a morning coffee - you feel nicely isolated whilst at the yurt (beautiful silence and low light pollution at night for stargazing), yet can actually get to all you need very easily, including LOADS of wild swimming spots which became a real feature of our holiday. The hosts are very friendly and helpful when needed - e.g. a minor electrical problem sorted immediately - but also give you the source you need to appreciate the setting. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Exactly as described on the tin, back to nature but well equipped. 4 of us had an amazing stay in this remote yurt, spacious yet cosy and beautifully decorated. Surrounding area is beautiful and Nathan was an incredible host, after having car troubles on the way and arriving late, he text to ask how we were getting on and offered us a later checkout, which was greatly appreciated, we just wish we could have stayed longer! He joined us for a couple of drinks on the second night and was great to hear his story. Thank you so much for having us all, we can't wait to come back.

Had three wonderful nights in the smaller yurt, Ty Crwn Bach Idris. Comfortable and cosy (once the wood burner was fired up) and the smaller yurt has the advantage of the kitchen/dining/shower room facility next door which is useful extra space. There were two adults and once child staying, it was enough space for us but you might want to look at the bigger yurt if your group is four plus. Good walks within easy reach if that's your thing, there's a decent pub feasibly within walking distance if you don't mind the pull up the hill on the way home. Woke up to a layer of snow on the first morning, a biting frost on the second and rain on the third, you get it all at this time of year in these parts! Had our last evening toasting marshmallows on the fire pit in the sunshine though, hitting peak chilled-ness just at the right time. Nathan's 'light-touch' approach to hosting made for a truly relaxing weekend with just the right amount of assistance and attention, otherwise leaving us to 'get on with it', which we appreciate.
