We got married at Gellifawr 3 weeks ago and cannot fault a thing. From the first meeting with Sarah we knew it was everything we wanted. On the day, Bethan was wonderful from start to finish in making sure everything ran smoothly with the perfect balance of efficiency and friendliness, we all felt like we had known her for years. A perfect venue with delicious food. Thank you to all the lovely staff for making our day so special.

My husband and I attended my son's wedding in Gellifawr and booked the disabled cottage for an overnight stay at the cost of 175. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the cottage but no spoons to stir the coffee or tea. To fill the kettle we had to go to the bathroom and use a mug because the kettle would not fit under the taps. I use a disability scooter and could not get it over the doorstep. My husband had to lift it over and it's quite a weight for a 75yr old man to lift. The metal grid outside was loose and a trip hazard. When we got the the wedding service there was another step that the scooter had to be lifted over, and again on the way out. When we had to go outside to have our photos taken, there is not one group photo of my husband and I because the scooter would not go over the large gravelled area. A lot of the women were complaining that they had ruined their shoes because of the gravel. When we got back to our cottage later that evening the room that I slept in had an en suite, the toilet didn't flush the cold tap in the washbasin didn't work and I noticed that the there were tiles missing off the skirting board, paint drops on the floor, paint blistering on the walls. I expected a lot more for 175 a night. I would have thought that it was a basic necessity to check the cottages to make sure that everything was in working order before letting them. They advertise the place as being disabled friendly, definitely NOT. I spoke to the receptionist about all the issues we had and she said "sorry about that" l'll pass your comments on.
