My husband called at the dentist today to make an emergency appointment, as he walked in the arrogant receptionist raised her voice and said 'you can't just walk in here and expect an appointment', my husband said that he had phoned several times and they said that someone would be in touch with him but hadn't heard and as he was passing and in terrible pain thought he'd take a chance. He was then told aggressively that she had eight pages of nhs patients waiting to be seen but if he that much pain he could be seen as a private patient! (same dentist I hasten to add) Eventually after a lot of abuse he asked for a cancellation, but her reply was to come in the morning like everyone else and wait and it could take 20 minutes or a couple of hours. As my husband works full time he's unable to take time off without loosing pay! My advice to you all is beware of the RECEPTIONIST!
