        I joined the library last weekend - very friendly and helpful staff and a good selection of books. Just finished reading an Alistair Maclean thriller, Fear is the Key, which was just as good as the first time I read it many years ago ........

        A rare thing, a branch library not in a major conurbation! Recently saved from likely closure by a management takeover by the local High school. Fiction, non-fiction, reference of course, also sections for children, teens and the visually impaired. Finally, WiFi, PCs, local interest, papers -- in fact all the facilities expected, and all just off the High Street. Closed Tuesday and Sunday at present, with varied opening hours on the other days.
