Grumpy & unhelpful staff member/waitress even after slow service (your new staff member, however, seemed very helpful and I hope she deals with guests more in future as opposed to your more seasoned one who hasnt got a clue when it comes to customer service) - a real shame as the food, owner and location seemed great but youre only as good as the overall experience. EDIT: (It would appear judging by the response below from the Owner(?) that taking one's rubbish with one (in the bin bag from the room's bin) constitutes "stealing" so leave your rubbish in your room and dont worry about courtesy since the staff dont either :) - sorry I wont be coming back to drop off some choc wrappers, empty bottles and 2 empty toilet rolls but here's a pic of the loot for anybody that sees this so you dont commit the same "crime".) A bit more about my "problem" since we're here - on the morning of our departure I asked the Landlady if we could eat our breakfast in the Bar room adjacent to their breakfast room as we were watching a live sporting event on my phone that was very loud and I did not want to disrupt the other guests having breakfast (an explanation I gave to the landlady at the point of asking). The distance between the table set for us and the one in the other room was maybe 4 meters (no food had been placed it was a matter of moving 2 placemats and 2 sets of cutlery). I was told sternly that breakfast isn't served in the bar room to which I gave the above explanation for my request and was then met with a roll of the eyes, a sigh and then....the silent treatment! No answer, just a stroppy fully grown adult ignoring my now repeated attempts to calm the situation as it was clear I had touched a nerve by asking to eat in the Bar room (nevermind a client/service provider dynamic I was now just an irritation apparently), still, the silent treatment continued along with a clearly vexed (but silent) serving of coffee and breakfast, my friend was with me and saw all of this. Have a look at a few other negative reviews of this place and there is a common theme in most of them (cough cough), and it appears to be the one replying to reviews too...Goodluck.
