A great fun experience in Lola; not for those who can't cope with a rather cramped van which, being the age it is, drives very differently from a modern van or car. We toured Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula, staying at two excellent campsites: Nant Bychan by Moelfre and Tir Glyn near Aberdaron. Tips: take an electric kettle - boiling water on the gas hob is very slow; go out of season - campsites are quiet and the showers and toilets are available most of the time; put the roof down overnight if it's windy - the van rocked around in a 30mph wind and we put it down in the middle of the night; enjoy the slow progress - calculate your travel times on Google maps and then double them; get petrol where you can - petrol stations are few and far between, although Lola is reasonably economical. Recommended for retro-fun adventure; not cheap, but worth it.

What a way to explore the Llyn Peninsula. A classic VW caravanette called Nell. Great fun. Great experience. Top speed slow enough for driver to enjoy the scenery as well. The couple running this venture are very friendly and knowledgeable and the advice sheet of places to stay was perfect. Will be doing this again.

We have just returned from 4nights in Nell, camping under the stars and exploring our beautiful Welsh countryside. The owners of Snowdonia Classic Campers have been helpful and professional right from the start. Nell is a beautiful van that has been lovingly maintained, with everything we needed for our mini break neatly housed inside the van. We can't wait to do it all again. Thank you!
