We found the Total Buying Abroad website and downloaded their Buying in Spain guide. This was extremely valuable to us in explaining a wide range of issues associated with buying a property in Spain. It is very clearly and logically written and easy to follow, even with virtually no previous knowledge of the topic. Once we had found the property we wanted, we contacted TBA to ask for a recommendation for an attorney in Spain and a foreign exchange company to transfer money from the UK to Spain. TBA staff were friendly and helpful. Most importantly, having engaged both their recommended lawyer and forex company, both have served us really well. As a result of these professionals, the entire buying process has gone extremely smoothly - far more so than we dared hope - and we took ownership of the property within a couple of months. The services provided by the recommended attorney were comprehensive - even including opening a bank account for us in Spain that is specifically designed for English speakers and with excellent online access. Similarly, the foreign exchange company is a pleasure to deal with, offering sensible advice and providing secure services at better exchange rates than available from a bank. Total Buying Abroad helped make our lives easy and I strongly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a property in Spain - and I'm sure the professionalism of their offering is as good for other countries for which they provide guidance.

I cannot recommend highly enough this absolutely amazing gem of a company. I first came to know of them via their free total buying abroad pdf guide (which has proven invaluable!). I received a very friendly email after signing up for the pdf inviting me to pose any questions we might have. I was at first a bit skeptical to reach out and I am so glad I was wrong. Having just purchased a property in Spain we found the information provided by Total Buying Abroad invaluable. The buying guide & property viewing checklist gave us a lot of useful information so we had a good idea what to do before we went on our search. They also put us in touch with a lawyer who spoke great English. Once we found our property we gave him power of attorney to which enabled him to do everything for us including opening a bank account, getting our NIEs, connecting the services etc. This actually made the whole process easier than buying in the UK! If you are thinking about buying abroad I would highly recommend this approach. Thank you very much for all your help.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Total Buying Abroad and their services to anyone, they helped us secure our property in Spain with help and advise at every turn. They put us in contact with the right lawyers and officials which made things run very smoothly. They made what can be a very daunting experience in to a stress free one. The Total buying abroad team were great! Very helpful and most importantly for us, when they suggested an English speaking lawyer they also followed through by double checking with us that the information, costs etc were correct and we were receiving the information we needed. We are loving our new home in Portugal and would recommend using the services of Total buying abroad every time.
