Joined here after moving to chepstow. I went and tried every gym in the area but after speaking to Simon on the front desk I joined. He and the staff are friendly and helpful always. I think the only improvement would be a punchbag in the cardio area and maybe another bench machine. It's is expensive, a couples discount would be beneficial also!

Lots of new equipment in the gym. You need a pound coin for the lockers

I've been going to the Hub for about 2 years now. It's only now I'm starting to realise the little flaws. The staff who run the reception desk are always lovely, and friendly, and the over all atmosphere in the gym is great. I have no issues with the equipment. Other than the fact, they don't seem to use to space they have wisely. Lack of benches (including only one bench press), unless you take time setting up underneath the squat racks. However, the floor seems to forever be wet in the evenings. I believe the staff are asked to mop the floor whilst people are still using the gym, this doesn't seem safe in my opinion, constantly slipping whilst doing certain exercises! No A/C built in, so in the summer it's brutal in there. Lightening was an issue but they've recently changed the lightening which is great, but they also don't seem to use all lights accordingly in the evenings, so it's still quite dim. Opening hours are poor on the weekends, a lot of people work busy hours in the weekdays and would appreciate a gym session on a Saturday evening but that isn't an option at the Hub as they close at 5pm Sat's and 3pm Sunday. So membership price seems a bit steep for what you get. However, I throughly enjoy how friendly it is inside the gym, and the staff are always happy to help with the equipment.
