(Translated by Google) An old building with its charm and its faults... Didn't receive the code by sms, or by email, so blocked in front of a closed door... Luckily, a delivery man left the door open for us. The key is there, on a piece of furniture, no reception. But a boy comes from outside and explains how it works... ok. The requested twin room is not there. 1 bed for 2 people, but not a king size, rather a prince size... and very marshmallow!!! Damage. For the positive, view of the castle... and the car park just opposite. Free between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. Decent breakfast, served with a smiling, friendly young man. But sorry, my english is so bad!!! Mais dsol, my english is so bad !!!

I stayed in Room Number 7. Make sure you receive the door code for the main door before you arrive. My mobile for some reason didn't receive this. After a phone call to explain, this was then sent again which I received. There were no staff on site on arrival, I found my key on the table and went hunting for the room. The room was at the top with a lovely view of the castle. The room had everything I needed, however it would have been great to have had a hairdryer to use. I didn't meet any staff until the last day for breakfast which they kindly opened up and provided as was only guest at this point. Chepstow is lovely and is well worth a visit.

A good central place to stay if on the Offas Dyke Trail...just yards from the bridge over the river. Having now walked the Offas Dyke trail this accomodation at 50.00 was middle of the road pricewise. Very helpful owner..called him a couple of times and was very accessible to help. A Fantastic cooked Breakfast in the morning to get me on my way! Thanks Steve

Nearby activities: The town is in walking distance from the B&B, some lovely little gift shops and great coffee house called Henry's is a must visit. B&B is really dog friendly and lots of lovely walks locally and a short drive away. I would say if you have mobility issues the B&B plus the local area would not be easy to negotiate, we found the town to be very hilly and the B&B is very old so limited on what's possible for disabled travellers.
