Just got back after a weekend away with 30 family and friends. First time at adventure base camp so didn't know what to expect. Overall a fantastic place to stay for all the days out around. Staff were sound all weekend, go karts on site were brill and ran very well and professional. More showers would of been nice but didn't really make a difference to us. Deffo be back.

This is a party campsite. Arrived on Friday and a group were already playing dance music loudly. We didn't have to be up early so just put up with it. The following day wasn't too enjoyable, as we'd had about 4 hours sleep. No chance of catching up on sleep during the day, as the sound of the Go Karts makes it impossible. When we got back to out tent, a large group had pitched right next to us, despite there being a whole field to chose from. We were told at reception there was a 10pm curfew on noise, and to call if we had any problems. I called around 11pm as the music and shouting voices were out of control, and was told he'd be down straight away. 50 minutes went by, and no-one came, so i called again, only to have my call ignored. The purpose of our trip was to go paddleboarding at sunrise on Lake Bala, but because we chose this campsite, we were unable to do so, as we didn't get to sleep until 2 hours before the alarm went off. This should be advertised as a party site, not under the pretence that its family friendly. We wouldn't have chosen this site if we knew, and it ruined our trip. There are 2 showers for the entire site and this is a big site. But 1 shower and 2 toilets are locked at 10pm, so you are left with the porta loo toilets and shower, which looked like a festival toilet after the Saturday night parties. There are no plug points either, so if you need to charge your phone or dry your hair, you're out of luck. There's no washing up station, just a plastic box with a cold hose running to it. The only plus point is the views, but I'd never stay here again.
