Fantastic welcome, by far one of the best pubs I've ever visited! Our group had some fantastic food here - be sure to try their home-cooked pies! Most of our group went for this and we weren't disappointed, absolutely fantastic! Cracking pub, excellent staff and always a warm welcome. Will definitely be back!

Ordered a chicken and leek pie, which came with chips and peas...there was no option . It duly arrived 20 min later. My first observation was that the plate was cold. The pie was an insipid pale colour with a soggy bottom. The chips were an even paler colour and cold, and the peas were certainly not birds eye best. The meal came with a small jug of gravy. I could not identify the flavour of it. I made the mistake of pouring the gravy over the meal to try and warm it up but realised the gravy was cold also. The content of the pie was tasty and the bar person was pleasant. I will not be returning

Wonderful warm welcome from the landlord, we were only calling in for a quick drink on the way back to our accommodation but decided to have a meal and a couple more drinks! Lovely food. We will be back :)
