Rose Cottage, Cemaes Bay

Gil and Curly are exceptional hosts, the cottage is absolutely dreamy and felt like a home away from home. My partner and I stayed for 3 nights and we had the most amazing time in Cemaes Bay, which is a beautiful town with great food, people and landscapes. Our bedroom was tidy, cosy and the duvet made our sleep time the best we'd had in a very long time. Couldn't recommend this cottage highly enough! 10 out of 10 experience overall.

Wow!! Such a stunning place. It was definitely home from home. The cottage has absolutely everything you require. We loved sitting on in the evenings with the log fire burning, playing some of the many board games provided, and sitting outside in the mornings having breakfast listening to the birds. Our host Gillian made sure our stay was exceptional, and was only only a phone call away if we needed anything. As for the bay, what a gorgeous place, so brilliant walks that we could take the dog on , and such unbelievable scenery.Took a trip to South Stack lighthouse, but unfortunately unable to see it due to the fog, but still had a fab time climbing down then back up the 400 or so steps.We shall definitely be returning .

We stayed at Rose Cottage in August and it was definitely a home from home. Everything had been catered for. There was a lovely hamper waiting for us on arrival. The cottage was so cosy and very clean. There was a folder on the table telling us everything we needed to know about the cottage and Cemaes Bay. This included restaurants, cafes, benches, walks, pubs. It went into great detail and was extremely helpful. The cottage has the most amazing garden with lots of hidden treasures to find and the most amazing apple trees , perfect for making apple crumble. Sitting in the garden with a brew, first thing in the morning, listening to the birds was the perfect way to start the day. We had our son with us who is 5 years old, there were lots of art and craft boxes for children to explore, colouring books, pens, glue, shells. Bats and balls and crab lines and buckets for catching the crabs at the beach. The three bedrooms are beautifully decorated and make for a very restful sleep. The cottage is literally 5 mins walk to the beach. The high street had everything you need, including the most amazing fish and chip shop. And the pasties from the butchers were delicious. We wanted a nice relaxing week away and that is exactly what we got. We spent the days on the beach, had meals out at the pubs and went back to the cottage to relax. It really did feel like home. We will definitely be going back to rose cottage. I also recommend anyone to stay here. You won't be disappointed. Thank you Gill and Robb. The cottage is beautiful and you are the best hosts around. We spent a relaxing week staying in Rose Cottage in August 2022. On arrival we were treated to a welcome basket of goodies and enjoyed sipping the rose provided whilst looking out onto the pretty garden. The cottage is spotless and beautifully decorated with everything needed for a relaxing stay. Comfortable beds and a good shower meant it was the perfect place to come home to after days out walking and sightseeing. Thank you Gill for providing such an excellent base to explore Anglesey and North Wales.
