Cannot fault my visit here whilst on holiday. I was seen within an hour of arriving at a&e. Within the next hour I saw an ent consultant and given a bed on a ward. Food was good, staff exemplary.

Absolutely awful. I brought my 6 years old son with 40 degrees fever, dehydrated and vomiting and was asked to wait and refused to give him any water. After waiting 1.5.hours a compassionate A&E doctor was passing by, she saw my son lying on my lap and she took us in without triage. Bless her! She directed us straight to the children ward. Even though staff there was very kind and attentive, they didn't diagnose my son at all. They gave us ibuprofen and send us home. To quote the consultant about my son: he doesn't look unwell to me. We came back the very next day with severe dehydration, high fever and exhaustion. My son was seen by 3 consultants and none of them diagnose him properly. No drip was given for dehydration, no tests but more ibuprofen. Last pediatrician spotted lumps on the neck of my son but didn't diagnose glandular fever. Only a month later when a thorough blood tests were ordered by GP, the glandular fever was confirmed. My son has post-infection anemia and long recovery in front of him thanks lack of competency of doctors in children ward who knocked him down with antibiotics instead of antiviral medication and not being able to diagnose him properly. Take your child elsewhere if you can, it is a dangerous and incompetent ward.
