If I could give zero stars I would, I highly recommend that you transfer to a different surgery. Morfa lane is literally the worst GP in Carmarthen. The Receptionist is unwilling to let you speak to a GP over the phone. Unwilling to give you an urgent care appointment or to book one, and their attitude stinks...

This surgery used to be the best in Carmarthen but this year its hit rock bottom. I've been given attitude, shouted at, hung up on by certain receptionists. Very rarely get to see a doctor or even speak to one. Get shoved to a nurse practitioner who hasn't a clue. I'm on a certain tablet that has side effect in a small number of people, making the hallucinate. So I ask to speak to a doctor about a chest infection but get the nurse practitioner going about me hallucinating because I'm on these pills that make some hallucinate and I've never complained about the tablets and side effects. I told her I need to speak to a doctor who actually knows my history. Next day I finally get to speak to a doctor who prescribed be antibiotics after 5 minutes of describing my symptoms. The nurse practitioner diagnosed my partners tonsillitis as oral thrush prescribed her treatment for which did nothing for her. She finally got to see a doctor, he burst out laughing at the nurse practitioners diagnoses. Every week I've got to fight to have my prescriptions done right, on time or at all. The Monday I order my tablets, it's now Wednesday and still haven't got my prescription and have zero left of the certain tablets I need. I've been rationing my doses to last longer and still run out before the new prescription has even arrived. The certain receptionists are gatekeeping and not qualified with a medical degree to determine if you need to be in touch with a doctor when you request contact with a doctor. I know Hywel Dda Univeristy Health Board has had many complaints about the Surgery in recent months. The only saving grace in the Surgery is Sally.

Worst receptionist I have ever encountered, she wouldnt even let me put a word in. She just told me sorry she cant be of any help to my daughter . I called right back , and guess what they didnt pick up. If it were a life and death situation or something serious I would be ingnored that way . Very extremely unprofessional
