The Taffs Well Inn

Much anticipated visit was a big disappointment! Booked after seeing the pub advertised on Facebook. On arrival all was fine, the pub is small but cosy. We were shown to our table by the waitress who took our drinks orders, when she brought the drinks she informed us there would be about a 20min wait which was fine, so we ordered our Sunday lunch which I was really pleased to find lamb was on the menu! Unfortunately we were sat in a corner next to a large table with a few children who were really loud and being a low ceilinged room it was quite painful! We waited about an hour for our food which had not arrived and when my wife heard a waitress tell another table they had run out of cream for desserts, we decided to leave which was disappointing as the meals looked really nice! Seemed as if they were unable to cope with big tables, hopefully if we return it will be better as I said the food looked really good and the smell was nice! Ps waitress was very apologetic and did not charge for our drinks!

Vegetarian selection very poor, only offered a plate of veg 1/10 .Meat meals ok 6/10

Just had sunday lunch with the wife. Had a choice of Beef , Lamb or chicken. Had all three. Vegetables were plentiful, gravy spot on. Service second to none. We can honestly say this was the best sunday roast we've had out. all day long.
