Awful place - I honestly dont understand how they can get away with running a cooked food business in this tiny space with inadequate extraction and everyone squashed together either waiting for food or for the post office counter services. Rude staff with a bad attitude as well.

I have never wrote a google review before but on this occasion I feel the need. My company has used the post office regularly for mail, paying bills etc. However over the last few years we have been sending a significant amount of franked mail. We have size gauges supplied by the post office we also purchase approved size boxes and envelopes, yet they consistently refuse franked and signed for mail for any reason they can (and the attitude starts to show). Take the same mail to any other post office and its accepted. (and with a nicer tone). No more post going via that office from us.

I have never had any issue with the post office side of the shop. They have always been friendly to me and helpful. Other reviewers may have got them on a bad day. They also sell hot food which I have never experienced myself. The downfall of that is the smell and it sticks to your clothes after. I think they need better extraction because 1 minute in the shop and I can smell chips or oil on your clothing. We have also purchased birthday cards that smell of food also. Not very attractive and as I said I think it needs looking at.

Today I walked into the post office with my dog (I didn't see any prohibited dog signs) and was yelled you can't bring a dog in here we'll lose our licence, so Iresponded she'll get stolen if I leave her outside. I turned around to leave and as I wasn't moving quick enough for the 2 of them due to my injuries both women started yelling at me next thing the younger aggressive teller rushed around the counter and was pushing me out of the premises. She pushed me in my ribs (I'm 3 wks out of hospital after a serious RTA where I sustained multiple broken ribs, a broken sternum, broken arm and brain bleed.) A very kind post office delivery driver held my dog outside and I came back in and continued my transaction. I am lodging a police complaint and also reporting to the FSA.... and the Post Office. The smell is disgusting and the layout is unacceptable for 2 businesses. I hope they had cameras rolling. Just to further note they had a dog being the post office counter who almost got out! Absolutely appalling!

Friendly staff, good banter, good value and great tasting food. The young woman behind the counter was particularly lovely. Definitely recommend.
