WDS have installed a ground source heat pump (GSHP) in our new house re-development. Of all the contractors we have worked with, WDS have been the most professional, communicative and provided a high level of support throughout the whole process. It is a very well run operation, with Jim leading the design and planning and Lewis and his team in charge of installation and commissioning. It has been a real pleasure to work with WDS Green Energy and really enjoyed our two-way discussions on all the calculations and the physics of these systems. Our system has been in operation for a while and we have had no issues. I would highly recommend this experienced and professional team for these systems.

We found WDS Green Energy very competent and they explained every part of the ground source heat pump installation at our property excellently. They completed a full heat loss survey with recommendations, which we fulfilled, including use of their tried & tested groundworks contractor Phil Price, & the result is an excellent heating system that replaces our elderly oil boiler & tank. The new tanks & pipes in the plant room are top quality, the best that could be used. The result is a beautifully warm house even through the coldest winter spells, & we are extremely happy with it all. Service: Heating system installation

WDS Green energy were a pleasure to deal with from day 1. I have asked for multiple quotes for an air source heat pump at my property with multiple companies, however only WDS were truly professional from the start. The initial email explained the business, sector and grant process (without me needing to prompt). this email also explained how to make applications for grants if entitled. Next came a site visit with an engineer to assess the property and capacity of the system I required. A second site visit before the install to ensure everything was in good order. Both individuals were knowledgeable and approachable. The installation engineers were always early, were respectful of my house and generally good company and good conversation. The system install quality is excellent and finished to a high standard, no question was too much bother. I cannot recommend this company enough. Service: Heating system installation

"I would highly recommend using WDS Green Energy for your project having just used their services for the supply and installation of an air source heat pump to replace our aging gas condensing boiler. From the first telephone enquiry, I found the staff to be polite, professional and patient as I had a lot of questions. Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff were prepared to address my concerns and listen to my requirements. Their engineers conducted a very comprehensive survey of our property in order to complete the heat loss calculations for every room and the building in general.. Once the survey was completed, I received a detailed quotation itemising the equipment recommended following further discussions around the various options put forward. A date for the installation was agreed and all the components arrived a few days before - all on time The installation was completed over a period of 6 days by two of their staff who once again were very professional and courteous.The quality of their work was outstanding with every component and connecting pipework installed with real precision. I'm very fussy and demand high standards of workmanship, but nothing phased their technicians - their standards were as high as mine! They were also very flexible - for example being asked to relocate a component to make access to the loft hatch easier. A week or so after the installation was completed, WDS sent their commissioning engineer to tweak the final settings to enable the system to work as efficiently as possible in our property. As a result, my wife and I are very happy with how the system is performing.Our home is warm and the system is working efficiently which reflects all the research and groundwork undertaken by WDS prior to the installation. If you want to waste money on a heat pump, use a company or individual who supplies a poorly specified system that's badly installed. On the other hand, if you want to have comfortable heating with plenty of hot water - even when the weather is very cold which costs no more to run than a gas central heating system, consider using WDS Green Energy Ltd. 100% recommend WDS for air source heat pump installation. Our house + system we have: We have a Vaillant air to water heat pump + hot water cylinder in a 1930's semi detached house (with some insulated suspended floor & aluminium radiators put in when it was being replumbed but many upgrades). Review of the heating system: The heating system worked flawlessly during the -8 celsius cold snap - this temperature was probably one of the only times we slightly hear the unit running from the other side of the wall in the house - any other time it's basically silent (only the sound of moving air) including when stood next to it! I don't like the closed nature of Vaillant control systems for integrating into smart home systems (they use ebus not opentherm - standard for all Vaillant products across gas + ashp etc) but I recognise that the actual physical hardware is excellent (quiet, efficient, looks good and performant) so over all am very happy with it. WDS spec and install a good product! Review + timeline of WDS service: We first dealt with Jim who answered my many many basic questions really well with no pushing to order anything. Once Jim produced a rough plan (using information we gave him) we were asked if we'd like to proceed and Chris (an engineer) visited us to measure up and survey the property (and answer even more questions). Chris produced a detailed quote/spec, ensured we met the criteria for receiving the 5k gov grant (which we wanted). We paid the deposit and were handed to Lewis (project manager) who we communicated with (we were having building work done in the area for the pump and this was in COVID when supply chains for ASHP parts were delayed). We had to have have our old heating system removed (Aug) before the air source was installed (Oct/Nov) (again, due to building work/supply chain) - Lewis made sure we had a system in place before heating was required. 3 WDS installers rapidly (and diligently) installed everything over 3 days to a very high standard. Worth mentioning because of how well it was rectified: There were some crossed wires about how we wanted to control the heating so when it was installed it did not have this in place. I know most other companies would have got very difficult about this but Lewis (and team) really delivered truly outstanding support. Came back out (at their expense) and tweaked the system. I genuinely am really impressed with WDS workmanship and support - if you want a well designed heating system and quality service at competitive pricing: definitely contact them. We looked at other suppliers including some big name building companies that didn't specialise in heat pump installation but when the quotes came in - it was clear WDS were the ones the knowledge and experience, now we've got our system - that definitely holds true. If we moved to another house without a heat pump, we would definitely be going back to WDS for a heat pump.
