I would highly recommend Anthony Perera. I am a podiatrist myself and would be happy to recommend Anthony to my patients having been to see him myself for consultations and also for foot surgery. What i particularly like is his professional friendly patient based approach, i felt at ease and able to ask my millions of questions ;-).

Mr Perera is very professional and has show a great duty of care to myself during consultations. He also makes you feel very at ease. He has explained in great detail the cause of my injury Haglunds Syndrome and how we can potentially manage it and eventually cure the problem. I feel that I am very much in safe hands with Mr Perera.

Ive suffered with painful bunions for a number of years, the left foot more painful because of an overlapping second toe, despite seeing my GP, podiatrists & trying various gadget, spacers etc which didnt help a great deal, I thought that maybe surgery would be the best option. Mr Perera was recommended to me & after doing a bit of research, I made an appointment to see him, he examined my feet sent me for an xray & then explained to me what my options were. I opted for day surgery & had bunion correction & fore foot realignment performed by Mr Perera via keyhole surgery-a minimally invasive procedure. The care I received before, during & after surgery was superb & I would thoroughly recommend anyone with foot (or ankle) problems to see Mr Perera. Im planning on having surgery on my right foot in the new year.

Testimonial for Anthony Perera: Having previously operated to rectify a heel spur Anthony was my obvious go to for a ruptured Achilles tendon end Feb 2022. I was seen rapidly, given a scan by a radiographer/sonographer with familiarity and expertise in sports injuries, and based on feedback - i.e. how big the gap in my tendon was - given a treatment program. In this instance, Anthony was confident that non-operative treatment would give an equal chance of full recovery and I was put in a VACOped boot with a treatment program. More advanced than the non-operative options offered by the NHS in my opinion... Not only did treatment program enable me to be fully mobile during recovery but more importantly I was back to gentle (very gentle and short) jogging after 5 months. At the 6-7 month mark, after a few follow up sessions, I was back to sports. Taking it easy but confident in the recommendations given by Anthony and supporting physio at Spire Cardiff. It's now 8-9 months since the rupture and I'm back to all previous activities, albeit still on the road to 100% commitment to but getting there. Range of motion and power are essentially back to normal in my opinion. Thank you! Rich
