I cannot complain of my mother's care in the home but sadly she has passed away and I am having terrible trouble trying to get a refund of her overpaid fees. They asked for probate which I supplied over two weeks ago and I have heard nothing. Emails are ignored and promises of 'We'll ring you back' are also ignored.

Got offered a job seven weeks ago. HR refused to give a start date saying `It takes as long as it takes` and now won`t respond to emails....

I used to work for Shaw Healthcare and left due to the distance I was travelling to work. I have worked for other large Care Home providers since and wish I had never left SHAW. It is honestly the best and kindest company you could ever wish to work for. The DBS process does take a while and it completely dependent on the police force clearing them which makes applications slow, but this is the same for all healthcare companies. I would highly recommend them as an employer.
