Funny how the favour is returned.... during the peak of the covid pandemic everyone was encouraged to utilise local merchants to ensure their survival by accepting the 'use or lose' philosophy. Over the last 3 years I've respected this analogy and ive supported local businesses on a daily basis knowing full well I could purchase the same goods for less only 2 mins further down the road. So.... today was the first time in my life a card machine couldn't read my card at a local store that i shop at daily, when I came to pay for my 5.80 worth of goods my card was not registering for contact less payment and refused to accept my pin. Politely I requested could I return with a different card in the morning to pay off the 5.80 owed, simply due to the fact they were closing the shop...only to be told 'no!' even though they have seen me on a daily basis for the last 3 years. Thank you Shopezy, Treforest for your respect and appreciation. You've seen the last of my support.
