Auto Resto Ltd

Auto Resto have just completed a full bodywork restoration on my cherished 1997 BMW 8 series and i couldnt be happier with the finished result. I initially engaged Auto Resto to remedy what appeared on surface level to be a small amount of rust around the rear wheel arches and at the top of the front windscreen, however the more that was stripped back the more rust they found (as is the case on these old BMWs), and the project grew from a 6 week job into a full on restoration over 11 months with the roof panel being replaced, every panel being removed, hidden rust on the doors, boot floor and jacking points sorted, and a full respray undertaken. Wheels were refurbished and the headlining was redone also. I very much feel like ive been on a journey with Peter, Tom and the wider Auto Resto team over the past 11 months, both in the things ive learned undertaking such a project with the team being so open to involving me in the process at each step, and in seeing Auto Resto grow during this period from being just Peter when the project started, to include Tom and the guys who all had an input with the car and who treated it with care as if it were their own car. You can definately see the pride that the team take in their work and undoubtedly this is a group of skilled craftsmen who dont accept anything less than perfection in their fabrication, paint and refit activities. Having online access to a shared file where photos of every stage of the process were uploaded was a nice touch and they were very ameniable to me filming the process for my youtube channel Craig on Cars - where you can see the various episodes documenting the restoration journey by searching for me on Youtube Thank you Peter, Tom, Ceri, Zibby and the rest of the team for doing such a great job, i would highly recommend them for any job no matter how big or small your own project may be.

These guys are top notch. Waited for nearly 6 years to finally restore my car as I had to find a rear bumper as they are so rare. I took a long time in choosing the right company as I'm fussy and wanted it to be the best it could be. I met Peter who give me a quote and with in a few weeks he had it in and stripping it down. I'm so glad I chose these guys to do the job, they have done amazing in every aspect and even managed to find other parts I didn't think was possible.
