Appears to be no proper climate control in the room. 1 small window so the rooms very dark. The TV only has some of the channels available and you can't change the source. We had brought a HDMI chrome cast plug in to plug into the TV to watch films in the evening. However the TV won't let you change the input to HDMI. WiFi is freely accessible for the public, not just hotel users which is a shame and there's nothing in the room to indicate that this is the case and there isn't a WiFi password. We were told that this hasn't been updated yet, when to be frank even the premier inn next door allow you to plug in chrome cast and fire sticks now and they're a fraction of the cost. So our evening plans of watching films together have been scuppered. The security deposit is 40pp per night. So for two of us for 3 nights was 240 - this was taken from my account at book in which to be quite frank is a shocking amount - over half of what we paid for the room and actually completely cleared most of my budget for our holiday as my friend and I are staying for my hen do as she is my bridesmaid and it's not a very fun way to start our short break away being 240 out of pocket for a security deposit. There also appear to be asylum seekers present on site. I hope they aren't being crammed like sardines into hotel rooms. Bathroom is nice and clean. Room is big and spacious and clean. We couldn't book a twin so instead have a sofa bed and queen size bed which are both comfortable. We have yet to try the pool facilities. It's in walking distance of Cardiff castle and the city center. Staff are friendly and helpful and we like the WhatsApp system of messaging questions or room service. We have not bought breakfast as we wanted to see what Cardiff had to offer. All in all, so far, for the price - disappointing. I paid extra so we would have pool facilities at least so fingers crossed that's okay. But I've stayed at cheaper hotels for a fraction of the cost that let you plug in chrome cast to a TV. Rooms: Spacious but dark

Location is fine, on the outskirts of the city centre. Facilities are good, the shower took a while to warm up. The staff are polite and happy, they stored my bag prior to check-in. An empty water bottle was left outside my room before I had even arrived, there was a couple of others on the corridor which was odd. Been then for hours. Biggest gripe is that the room is very noisy, sounds like the outside fan or similar. Complained at reception and there is nothing they can do (nowhere to move to). I'm visiting with work, and personally will choose a different hotel next time to avoid the risk of the fan. Discounts on rooms etc don't go to me, so a good night sleep is most important.
