Premier Inn Cardiff North hotel

The hotel looks beautiful after its refurbishment, and I had a decent night sleep. However, the attitude of staff the following morning was absolutely shocking. We were in Cardiff to attend the funeral of my grandmother, and despite being told that breakfast would only take 15 minutes to arrive, we were sat waiting for 45 minutes. Giving my husband 15 minutes to eat, and come back to the room to get ready. When staff were questioned, there was no apology or explanation. What was already an upsetting and stressful morning was made 100 times worse by poor kitchen planning and attitudes.

Evening meal waiting time still the same absolutely diabolical even if you pre book a table you will still wait at least 1 hour, at least i got a drink, breakfast is spot on no complaints about that.another 11 months of this as my company booked this for me Maybe I will complain to my company.

Great hotel. Never stayed here before. Newly refurbished. Booked a Premier Plus room and it was very pleasant. Nice walk in shower, fridge and Nespresso coffee machine. Plus rooms are on the 4th floor. Room 416 over looks the road but it was very quiet. All rooms now have air conditioning and you can't open the windows at all. Not sure if I like feeling hemmed in. What with Covid still being around having air pumped around rooms doesn't make me feel too comfortable. Just hope they check their systems regularly for Legionella too. Went to the restaurant for dinner. Walked in, no need to book. All things available on the menu. Food was good as were the drinks. Service was fantastic so many thanks to Lian for being so attentive. New surroundings are great. Will definitely visit again.
