The only reason this place deserves a rating is because of its prime location right in the heart of Cardiff City Centre. The dorms are quite terrible tbh, like a 3 floor bed can be hard to climb on, no charging points next to dorm beds either, and the WiFi just doesn't work. Their staff isn't the most professional either and they don't accept the 10 deposit by card it's only CASH

This is the worst place I've ever stayed. The head receptionist was rude, brash, arrogant, unprofessional and extremely defensive. The two younger men behind reception when I arrived in September of 2022 were just as unprofessional and didn't seem to know what they were doing half of the time. I was essentially forced to pay 5 for 12 individual keys for each member of our party for two rooms, even though only three of us were at the hostel to check in and the others never saw it until we came back to (try to) sleep. Our rooms were condensed to one room with six beds for twelve people and one bed was occupied by a complete stranger, whom apparently had "booked in advance as a resident" despite evidence of booking a whole room for eight of us. This booking had apparently been lost by a "system error" which was the hostel's excuse and the hostel itself was grimy, grotty, dirty, none of the keys worked, literally none of us got any sleep, people were vomiting in the hallways and I never heard from the manager regarding a refund I basically demanded due to the terrible treatment and experience of my party and I during our time there; I called him on the mobile number he left me, left a message and he just ignored. Do *not* stay here: we aren't the only people to be shafted as another guy was basically having the same issue as us and was arguing with the head receptionist at the same time. Absolutely awful.
