My father spent his last few days here The visiting was a booking in system due to covid restrictions in place which was a bit chaotic at times because my father had so many friends and family but this couldnt be helped as it was down to Mark Dripford The staff were actual angels Nothing was too much for them and they made sure he was comfortable and was able to go with the dignity he so desperately wanted The night he passed the nurses allowed all the family to wait in the family room so everyone had a fair chance to say goodbye, we didnt feel rushed and they explained the next steps to us and offered no end of support The building itself was beautiful, so fresh and open, the garden was perfect Myself, grandmother, sister, brother and aunty sat with my dad as he took his last breaths and when he took his final breath the nurse opened the windows to allow my dads soul to leave (on request of my grandmother) they then allowed us to sit and wait for them to clean him up and by clean him up they washed, dressed and positioned him and even sprayed his favourite cologne on him, he looked so peaceful it was the best way I could have possibly asked to say goodbye Thank you to all the amazing staff from the bottom of my heart x
