Best gym in Cardiff! Excellent facility with plenty of space and great functional equipment. Staff and members are all super welcoming and friendly, and the coaching is high quality. Definitely recommend!

This gym provides great value for money. Anyone who has attended a CrossFit gym before might know that oftentimes there is immense pressure placed on members to attend scheduled classes, and that using the gym for your own workouts during class times is discouraged - not so at The Compound!! Staff and members are extremely friendly, and respectful of individuals personal workout plans. Even when I have attended during class times, there is always space for me to use the gym equipment as needed. The quality of the equipment is generally good, and you will find what you might generally expect from an open plan gym like this - barbells, kettle bells and dumbbells - racks, benches and boxes - sleds, rowers, stationary bikes and ski ergs. The outdoor space is a nice bonus, and having the garage doors open on pleasant mornings makes exercising a bit more pleasant! Definitely recommend. The gym operates on a no contract basis, and your first open gym session is free. Worth a shot if you are looking for a gym in the Fairwater/Ely area!
