You will wait and wait the young guy on the counter was cocky and arrogant. The older guy with white beard seving food wiped his nose twice at the till with his hand and again over 3 open trays of chips made no attempt to wash his hands. Finally got served to be given the scaping off chips that were left nowhere near a portion. First and last time.

Reasonable quality very poor quality. Two large bags of chips went now where near satisfying 2 adults and 1 child. Standards has dropped since last visit

First, I visit both store lications (Pentwny and Whitchurch) and there is a disparity in the quality and service between the two. Starting with Whitchurch: The service isnt great. I'be been in several times and there have been large numbers of people waiting for an order, yet you'll see staff wandering around aimlessly or chatting instead of serving or preparing. They dont prioritise grab and go orders, so there is often a long wait for simple orders simply because the 5 people ahead are waiting for fish to be cooked. (I once was asked to wait 20 minutes after ordering a single pie that was on shelf ready to go...?) The food quality is typically good but again theres a disparity between locations, with the chips here being lovely but battered products missing the mark (over or under cooking). Pentwyn: Service is better but again, if you are in a queue, even simple orders will have you waiting. The staff are however always active and friendly. I prefer the side orders and fish from this location, always done perfectly. The chips are a bit hit and miss though. I've had several experiences whereby the chips are undercooked. But, overal the food and service are good. Vegetarian options: Compared to many cippies there are a few vegetarian options including battered mushrooms, battered califlower and onion rings.
