Getting through to speak to someone is near impossible. I call dead on 8 in the morning and have to listen to nearly 2 minutes of rhetoric...things that anybody with half a brain should know...only to then be told by their automated service that I "cannot be connected right now". This happens almost daily! I'm not saying this to be mean, but when you're suffering from mental and physical illness, the inability to speak to your own doctor can really get to you...especially when all you want to do is get better. I am bitterly disappointed in the service provided. I doubt there's anyone at the surgery taking note of these reviews...the number of 1* ratings is shocking! Why are they not paying attention? I guess we are an inconvenience

Great service when asking for a phone call back from GP. Often will give you prescription without having to go in. People complain about appointments being gone when they have waited on phone but there is only so many patients they can see so as frustrating as it can be it is not their fault!

Yes times have been difficult since the pandemic but in my experience, patients dont do enough to help themselves. Feeling unwell? The general reaction is to phone for an appointment with the doctor, when a call at the pharmacist (chemist in the good old days) will more often than not produce the required outcome. The only difference here is that you have to pay for over the counter medications. I have always followed this mantra and if no better after the time specified by the pharmacist, I have usually been able to make an appointment. The treatment I have received from the practice (originally housed on the Cowbridge Road) has been first class. Despite the mess our NHS currently finds itself in, we are still much better off than other countries where they will want to see your credit card etc before theyll even treat you.
