Stated they would provide new central heating system, cavity wall insulation and low energy light fittings (they will state you must have all recommended energy saving measures suggested after the EPC assessment) , contractor for heating system insisted that electrical connections are moved and floorboards are removed prior to install or surface mounted copper work will be fitted with no covers or trunking. All preparations were made for installation of new heating system until 15:30 the day before installation, it was cancelled. Contacted Arbed to find out more information, was informed more funding was required to install new copperwork as only boiler and radiators had been allocated funding, but was assured the additional funding will be allocated so that the improvements could be fitted. After 4 months and finally getting through to someone, it was then cancelled as copperworks are not included in the scheme, no apology, no other energy saving measures offered as these had been cancelled also. Complaints team for Arbed is non-exsistant as is the organizational skills of the company. If your heating system is over 10 years old, be cautious, if there's not enough profit in the job(s) they will simply cut you off with no regard to the stress and inconvenience they have caused. Apply with caution or simply avoid if you don't want to be messed about for over 18 months in total.

This company does not complete the work it says it will. Was told I needed solar panels and cavity wall insulation to get my home to a better epc rating and was told I had to have both otherwise no work could go ahead and would be in breach of contract if both works were not completed. Fitted solar panels fine then turned up to fit cavity wall insulation but couldn't as they needed scaffolding. This was nearly a year ago. And have now been told that my account has been closed and my home was not suitable for cavity wall insulation and now being told after I have complained that I should have read terms of conditions where apparently they say they can cancel the work and basically change your eligibility at their whim. Tom in Complaints has basically said that there decision will not be overturned even though they have changed the goalposts without even informing me. Do not use this company. Unprofessional and a waste of your time

Following an EPC survey done in July , I was offered solar panels , a new oil boiler, radiators , timer and room thermostat and loft insulation . Work was scheduled for a date in October and was all completed in three days by some very competent and pleasant contractors . So grateful for this scheme as I would never have been able to afford this , and my house is much warmer and more efficient because of it .
