Our ground floor needed to be replaced in it's entirety. Me and my girlfriend hired Paul and his team to remove the existing floor, put down new damp proofing, insulation and then to re-concrete and screed. All the work was completed to the correct standard however the screed was done to a poor finish. Once we moved back into the property we immediately noticed the screed was not level by the door (you could physically feel yourself move to one side) cracks and crumbing had appeared all over the floor. I got a second opinion from a screed company and they said the screed was of a poor finish and should not have been mixed by hand on site ( this is what Paul did) we were advised to have the screed taken up and laid correctly. Paul refused to do this as he would make a loss on the job, he came out to spot repair the cracks and crumbled holes, he also poured self level by the front door (worked slightly but not 100% level). Overall the finish is not what I expected and I'm extremely disappointed as I have floor that resembles my original one.
