Had dinner last Thursday. My Scotch egg starter and 18oz ribeye steak were cooked to perfection. The steak was served precut which was a nice surprise. Creme brulee with white chocolate was also delicious. My friend thoroughly enjoyed her 3 course meal as well. Our server Giovanna was efficient and attentive. The rhubarb & ginger spritz mocktail was bland but the other 2 mocktails were fine. In my opinion Courts is a restaurant to rival Home also in Penarth which is also excellent.

First time eating Sunday lunch with my daughter yesterday , the food was delicious, I had the lamb cooked to my liking, and my daughter had the pork the crackling was amazing , loads of veg and best cauliflower cheese ever . Service by are waitress Kate was 1st glass , back ground music was just right for a Sunday , The restaurant was very busy with relaxed atmosphere ,will definitely be booking in again for a Sunday lunch , highly recommend

Me and my partner came here multiple times in the last few months. It has always been great - she even gave you 5 stars reviews: one on Google and one on Open Table. It was one of our favourite places, one of those you recommend to your closest friends, we genuinely loved it. However, today we visited with another couple - my partner had Carbonara pasta - which she always orders, when she gets the chance (this was our first time trying your lunch menu, in the past we only had your dinner meals). Well, the food came quickly enough and that's when the shock hit us as well: it looked like Carbonara soup - I know, it sounds shocking, as nobody on this planet has ever seen such a thing before! The only "lucky" bit for your employees is that my partner is always nice and she never says anything bad - she ate it (as much as possible, considering it was pure liquid and she did not have any spoon). The waitress almost spilled the entire content on my partner's dress while attempting to place the plate full of pure liquid in front of her. Around one minute later, she came to ask if it was all ok - of course my partner said it was, she was too embarassed to admit the meal was a pure disaster! I asked the waitress if that looked normal to her, as the overall appearance of the plate looked like that liquid (egg mixed with whatever) has been done in a microwave (see photo), she said it wasn't and started acting defensive - please remember we were never even rude or anything, as obviously her job is to only put the food and drinks on the table. After this, she sent a boy to us, we explained the same situation, also just as nicely as we explained to the lady before: the shock got even bigger, as he said "chefs" have their own way of cooking different meals! We asked where, in the entire Universe, that "Chef" ever heard of liquid pasta - no answer, just same excuses over and over again! We ended up being "forced" to pay that, as well, which is not an issue, however your "Chef" might actually live with the impression that he/she/they can cook (even worse, for a restaurant) and that's what actually is sad and depressing! After today's experience, facing your employees reactions to some questions that were not at the slightest rude or anything bad (just negative feedback given in a friendly way), we are wondering if we are still welcome to your bottomless brunch that we already paid!
