The Art Workshop

I have attended both art and drawing and introduction to watercolour at the art workshop. Thoroughly enjoy both classes, informative friendly and totally absorbing. I joined with no past experience in art and just love it highly recommended.

So, 30 (ahem) years ago I was told by my Dad don't do art as a GCSE subject even though I loved it.. So I did what my Dad told me. Now as a "grown up" I thought let's enjoy this again. I'm one year in studying Art and Drawing with the Art Workshop on a Saturday morning. I've a busy job and this Saturday morning allows me to escape work yet think and meet like minded people and learn. It's been a pleasure to mix with all learners of different ages, discuss art and learn techniques by looking at art and having expert guidance that makes you look at a corner in a room like you would never consider, think about tones in an apple or tulip that you wouldn't see..... And don't ask about a circle, square and triangle which you'll never see the same way again!! The class let's you learn through looking at art. Then hone your skills in a super supportive environment from teacher to fellow learners. I'm an artist as I pick up a pencil (I love this mantra of the class as we are all artists) ... With many skills to learn. And this is the best place to do that. Thank you. Xx

My 10 year old love the Saturday morning sessions and has been enjoying all the new experiences. Staff and everyone are supportive and friendly. I highly recommend this cosy studio.
