Really peaceful site, we stayed in a brand new lodge (28), so new they were still preparing the welcome pack! The site is at a great location, an hour to the coast, plenty of walks nearby, Newtown is 15 mins away with plenty of supermarket choice. Everything is very neat and tidy, the welcome packs were full of useful information and goodies!

Had a great little stay in one of the four person lodges in the Easter holidays. Looked like is was brand new this season. Sunken hot tub into the decking outside was lovely and staff were very thorough in checking the water, adding chemicals and topping it up when needed. Not much else on the resort other than fields for dogs or kicking a ball around. WiFi worked well in the lodge with our firestick to watch netflix and sports etc. Local town has a football club, a few pubs (although some had limited opening mid week), butchers, chippy, petrol station and a few shops. Nearby Newtown (10 mins drive) has a couple of supermarkets, good variety of shops and takeaways. Also has a theatre, bowling and a cinema for entertaining the kids if the weather is poor. We visited Hafren forest and walked to the source of the river Severn. Had a trip to the National Trusts Powis Castle. Also drove down to the coast at Aberystwyth but the best activity was the Red Kite feeding centre near to Rheader. This is well worth the visit. We booked into a bird hide and had a great view of the 200 odd birds who turned up at this time of year. Nearby activities: Red Kite feeding station is well worth a drive out.
