Tim and Lizzie undertook a Historic building survey (RICS L3) on an un-listed, but historic chapel prior to a residential conversion.
Unlike previous RICS surveys we've commissioned, the report was totally clear, readable and informative (with photos and diagrams to explain and support the findings) which didn't require a PhD to understand. The report was clear about what could be seen and what couldn't and Tim's verbal walk-through carefully managed our expectations on which elements were important, which were less critical and where more intrusive assessments would add value to our understanding.
We were able to proceed with our purchase with with eyes open and a much clearer plan as a result of Tim's helpful guidance around best-practice for some of the more complex work required.
I hope to continue our engagement with Nicholson-Price through the planning and build-phase to ensure our work delivers a future-proofed home which enhances the heritage and character of a beautiful but currently neglected building.

1. Knowledgeable and Authoritative - Demonstrated a complete understanding of the building, explained what to expect, what was and wasn't important, and directly addressed our expectations and concerns.
2. Informative - Gave a thorough explanation of the singular characteristics of a historic building.
