I stayed here for two nights at the end of May with my partner. From the outside there is plenty of curb appeal with a brightly painted exterior with a courtyard style cottage garden bursting with colour. The welcome from our host was just as warm as the building promised. The Globe was spotlessly clean and despite being an older building did not lack any basics with plug sockets plentiful (including USB ports) and plenty of space for clothes. The decor was fun and tasteful whilst also feeling modern and in-keeping with a seaside B&B. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, served in a little breakfast room which you are also able to use to eat a takeaway meal of an evening, which can be very useful to those on a budget and wanting to just grab some chips from one of the nearby chip shops. The location of The Globe is perfect, minutes walk from the train station (South Wales mainline) and local bus stops, nestled amongst a range of pubs and restaurants it couldn't be easier to get a drink or meal. A short walk also takes you to Burry Port Marina and the Millennium Coastal path where excellent walks and cycle opportunities exist. We visited without a car and relied on trains and local buses, this is an ideal spot for others who also lack their own transport. There are a lot of steps involved (including from bathroom to bedroom in room 4) so anyone with mobility issues may want to check with the owner before booking as it may not be suitable due to the nature of the old building. However I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone else, we had two great nights sleep, full bellies and plenty of great memories to take away with us.
