After several bad experiences trying to get windows and doors replaced someone put us in touch with Window-Tec. Everything changed from then Nothing was too much trouble for Dave, Window-Tecs proprietor. He listened to what was asked of him and was honest in his subsequent advice. He foresaw potential problems another company had missed in their survey and offered appropriate solutions. He gave us as much of his time as was needed to ensure what he supplied would suit us and was always there if we needed to discuss anything before, during or after completion of the job. He worked hard to ensure we were delighted with the outcome, and delighted we were. His workmanship was very good and most importantly treated our house with care and respect throughout. Removing old frames was done without causing stress to the house (or us) and he took time to ensure proper sealing both inside and out. He cleared and cleaned up superbly leaving nothing for us to do! During his work for us, Dave suggested faulty installation of other, recently installed, windows courtesy of a non-FENSA registered company and improved one retrospectively whilst warning us what signs to look for in others. He said he would be happy to put them right should the need arise. We had also been concerned that several of those windows did not meet Fire Regulation standards; he put them right for us. Being FENSA registered, he works to Building Regulations no more expensive Building Control Applications as his accreditation takes care of that so you can rest easy that there will be no nasty surprises down the line when you would otherwise have Building Control inspect the new windows and doors, or when you try to sell your house! All this for a very reasonable, fair, price that you actually dont mind paying! We have absolutely no qualms about recommending Window-Tec and look forward to seeing Dave again for other projects around our house in the coming years.
