Fantastic quality charcoal, easy to light with no firelighters or lighter fuel needed. It lit quickly, within a couple of minutes had spread throughout the entire tray. Once ready to grill, it maintained a steady temperature long enough to cook for a party of 10. We always cook a variety of meats and vegetables and really noticed the difference in flavour - smoky but no taint like what you get from briquettes. Meat was juicy and tender, vegetables nicely charred. I love that this product is made locally too from silver birch off cuts rescued from a wood yard just over the road. If you get the chance, go along and see their charcoal retort in action - it really is an awesome sight to see!
