Staveley Head

Took out policy with them for my motorhome easy to take out Sent no claims proof which is 5 years previous insurance company put 6 years on the document so they have charged 39.50 for amending the policy some were along the line I've gained a years no claims and no one seems bothered.

At renewal, Staveley head asked for a copy of MOT certificate after the 14 days cooling off period (they waited exactly 28 days) and gave me less than 6 hours to send it over before cancelling my policy at 3pm that day. My policy was for 188 and total cancellation fees amount to 173.25 and wont review. What a way to treat a renewing customer. I have 4 other policies with Chris Knott Insurance and 100% recommend them. Avoid these scamming cowboys.

they gave ma a quote of 198 I paid then said I had to show proof of no claims bonus on motorhome insurance, I explained I had full no claims on my car but as it was my first motorhome I never had motorhome insurance. they then said the price would be 570 I said no please cancel it they then said admin charges and cancellation charges left me with a 38 refund which they never paid.

Loads of very personal details wanted by them after they've taken your money and sent documents( please be aware of ticking/signing their terms. Even if the policy has not started and you cancel they still get their 25 cancellation fee from you and you have to wait up to 6 weeks to get your money back!) Bad business practice on their part. I ended up paying 100 more than their quote for a reputable company and piece of mind and no intrusive questionnaires to fill in. Never again check reviews on them
