A guy came to measure up for the worktops but needed to come out again as we had to move a unit slightly that had kicked out. We couldnt take the chance with the worktop not fitting, we then had to pay 72 to recheck the measurements, it had only moved 3mm .
The day finally came for the worktops to be fitted (27th October 22). On inspection after fitters left, we noticed gaps around the Granite cladding which had not been filled, also some sharp edges. On inspection of the worktops, we could see stripes that looked like strap marks the length of the island and on the worktop. They came the next day and left a substance on the marks. He came back a few days later, but was unable to remove them. He took the island back to the work shop to be fixed which was then brought back a week later.
I phoned again to tell them I had found deep scratches. These had been overlooked. I was told by Donna that there wasnt much they could do at the moment because they were busy with customers needing there kitchens doing and so it would be after Xmas.
Steve & Tom did come before xmas to take a look and they took part of the worktop back to the work shop. It then came back a week later and was refitted.
On inspection we noticed that it had been polished down but was left with a very dull matte finish. Nothing like the rest of the worktops which were glossy and were full of detail and depth. I felt like crying...
I explained to Donna in a phone call and her reply was it was OK when it left the shop.
Tom came to look at the piece of granite and stated he would let them know what he seen but told me it wasnt right. I heard nothing till i phoned them.
Donna suggested they get another piece of granite . I wasnt happy about that as we had selected our Granite from Matlock with a specific pattern and they wanted us to accept a rogue piece to fit in. We refused.
She phoned back to tell me they had been in touch with a guy who had the machinery to polish it up and that he was very good but he couldnt do till February. It wasnt guaranteed to work.
We asked for a refund, and arrangements were made to remove fixtures & fittings ready for the Granite removal ....again having to cope without kitchen worktops.
They removed 13th Jan 23 we had to have the walls partially repaired & painted .
Every effort should be taken to supply the customer with a quality product this has not been the case this time.
I find this company unsympathetic to their customers needs when things go wrong. I understand things can go wrong but this company cant say enough about themselves when it comes to their quality.
Ive had sleepless nights and my anxiety was through the roof.
No compensation has been given for all the upheaval weve had to endure throughout and over Xmas. However, magma granite did give a full refund.

Unfortunately, weve no idea what went wrong or why this company could not fulfil their standards they promised.
